Yoga for Menstruation
Relieve pain and mood-swings around the time of your period, and revitalize for the whole month with these specialized sessions.
In addition to my experience teaching yoga, I have studied Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine as part of the year-long advanced Yoga Sukhavati seasonal training. I’ve learned directly from the great Ayurvedic teacher Maya Tiwari (founder of Wise Earth School of Ayurveda and author of The Path of Practice) and studied with renowned “Everyday Healer” Summer Quashie on her series The Moon Calls.
In a consultation, we’ll talk about your monthly cycle and your relationship to your periods, and work out some very simple, straightforward practices to help you feel more in tune with life – from eating to sleeping and how and when to exercise. We will work with restorative yoga poses which bring ease and relief to your body, plus therapeutic essential oils and Reiki healing so you can relax and re-energize on a deep level.
